In trying to communicate better with a white goods company that had me going round in circles I took to Twitter. They weren’t there, but what I did find led to this short vlog.
All too often organisations forget the listening bit of social media. Regularly I see companies tweet, or post on LinkedIn and then never check the replies !
Don’t know how to manage it all? There are a range of tools for listening some free, some paid for.
Obviously you can and should make sure you check your social media accounts daily for notifications. Also put your company name in the Twitter search bar a couple of times a week.
In addition here are three of the free tools which search the web Social Mention , Topsy and of course Google Alerts.
Three paid for options are Sprout Social, which is my favourite so far and offers a 30 day free trial, Mention which gives you a 14 day free trial and Brandwatch
So, no more excuses for not listening! ![:)]()
Over to you– what are your experiences of trying to manage all of the accounts or of being ignored on social media by companies? Please do leave a comment below, I’d love to hear your stories.
